Did you know that you can pour on Media Board, and when it is dry, separate the canvas from the cardboard by simply pulling it off? Kathy from Ranger figured this out, and I love it. It's hard to pour on plain canvas because the pour changes as the canvas material absorbs the moisture of the pour. But if you pour on Media Board, you have a rigid surface. Then you can separate the canvas from the board and use it in as many was as you like--as a flexible book cover, as collage, cut shapes out of it, sew on it, etc.
Here are a couple of collages I did with some canvas pieces I separated from the cardboard.
They are so beautiful and unique!
