When I was making prints with my Gelli plate, I cut a few leaf & stem shapes out of paper to use on the plate. The shapes have been hanging out on my desk, and I keep picking them up and using them in various ways on my journal pages. You'll see them popping up a lot. I love using a motif. It's so artistically valuable to take one image and push yourself to use it in many ways.
I have noticed that you have been using that leaf motif and I love it! It is a really great shape and you have worked it in so fittingly to many pieces. I have your stamp that has it and love using it when stamping. Have a great Tuesday!

Love every bit of your vibrant and creative style! What a great prompt-to use a motif in different ways as you art each day. I'll have to try that.

A motif was one of the hardest things for me to get comfortable with when I started art journaling. For some reason I had it stuck in my head that every thing had to be completely unique and different. That created a lot of pressure and limited me. Thanks for the reminder with such a wonderful journal page!

You are a wonderful artist. I have been following you for years, but looking through your portfolio I just took notice of your faces, do any of your on-line classes go over how you choose how to colour and shade them?
I have been working on doll like faces, but like yours best!
P.S. I think Purple girl looks like you.
