I don't think I'm in the running for a feature in "Where Women Create." Oy vey!! Can you believe this is how I left my workspace when I left for CHA? I came home and took a look at it and started cracking up...it's truly a disaster. Even better (and you can't see this in the picture), there are 5 Lego Stormtroopers in the pile, too! Wherever I go, my boys remind me of their presence.
Also...I want to remind you about my February class at The Creative Quest (you can click on the link on the left of the blog to go to a post that has pictures/description). Come and art with me! :)
After I clean up my desk (cough cough), I'm going to do a post called "Best in Show"...I want to share with you what inspired me at CHA this year.
Bah!! I LOVE your studio space! There's always something to see, to grab your attention, to inspire. You should take a shot of the artwork over your computer desk, or the shelves full of goodies. You're hard at work and creating, and that's better than a clean, unused studio any day!

You are so cute, "not in the running" LOL!!!!!!!! Mine looks exactly the SAME!!!!! WHY is it that we create a disaster while creating a masterpiece, OY! I'm right there with you sister!

P.S. Dina, WHO has PAINT on their sewing machine????!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!

Too funny! But I know some days are diamonds and some days are coal. My studio looks kinda coal today.
Have a good one.

my mother had a fridge magnet that said:
"A clean (house) is the sign
of a boring woman".
so just remember:
You are *FASCINATING*! ;D
another of my faves is:
"L'ordre satisfait la raison,
le desordre fait les delices del' imagination"
(Paul Claudel)
in other words,
"Order keeps reason content;
Chaos is imagination's delight"
So let's hear it for chaos! ;))) Hugs from Gavà!

Love it! The paint on the sewing machine cracked me up.
To be honest that is sometimes the state of my entire house!(minus the paint)

What a beautiful creative mess .x.

I think this is exactly why you should be in the running! Any studio that requires immense tidying to look perfect in a magazine isn't a true picture of how that studio works...and just makes the rest of us, who have working spaces like yours, feel bad, when we really shouldn't ;)

awesome.

and I just love the quote lisa posted: "A clean (house) is the sign of a boring woman."

To be honest, I LOVE it. I'm seeing creativity, flexibility, and NO FEAR here!

LOL! I finally broke down and spent the weekend cleaning up my at-home workspace. It is so much more fun to create in now. Can't wait to see what you do with the new stuff from CHA.

It may be a disaster zone, but I love your scrap space! Wish I had that many spray inks.

I think you would be an awesome candidate for Where Women Create! A well loved studio is always welcome in my eyes.

to paraphrase somebody, "dull women have immaculate homes"...i'm pretty sure that goes DOUBLE for desks and exponentially higher for creative/studio/art spaces! :) :) :)

Oh my gosh! The inky sewing machine made me smile! And the stormtroopers...I find evidence of my little ones where I love to be the most, too! So glad they love to be there with me... Checking out your older posts and adding you to my reader. Thanks for the inspiration!

hmm.. It brings to mind two questions.. what were you watching on ABC and why is there happily paint everywhere but the walls? LOL Seriously is that high gloss paint or somethat that wipes clean easily??? Maybe you could paint your sewing machine with it? :P
Seriously thought it's awesome Dina.
