Happy, happy 2013! I hope this year brings you blessings, peace, and lots of art. And cookies.
As promised, here are my "top 12 of 2012" journal pages...
This first one isn't a journal page, it's a canvas. But I love it. There's just something about the composition as a whole that made it "click" for me.
This one's not a journal page, either...it's a crazy piece I did at ArtFest in Jesse Reno's class. It's big and weird and I just had so much fun creating it.
I like this girl's weird coloring and strong attitude.
There's something so powerful in a gestural line...that's something I want to explore more in 2013.
Half faces, but still powerful.
A page about insecurities...don't we all have them?
I really love this one. I used it for my new business cards and some 5x7 prints.
I still love the power of simple shapes...like the heart.
And this year saw the beginning of my gelli-printing obsession...
And my love of silhouettes rages on...
There is still no better place than a journal to spill out your emotions...
Let whatever you do today be enough. Amen.
Have a joyous New Year!
All breathtaking. You are such an inspiration.

These are AMAZING!! LOVE the piece created for artfest- that looks like it should be hanging over at MoMA. And I also love the last piece- I really do have a problem with feeling peace about whatever I get accomplished.
