Thank you for this sprig of life and hope, reminders to me amidst that grief we all feel that Christ came to give us that gift...life and hope.

I love your painting-and there's your infamous leaf shape again :) You sure do have A LOT on your plate especially with all the family celebrations. I too have been feeling a bit at a loss and withdrawal over that horrific massacre at Sandy Hook. A few of my friends reminded me recently that, as I have done before to cope with loss, I could release some of those feelings by creating, whether it's in words or art or both. Wishing you moments of quiet time and peace.

Yes, the grief of Sandy Hook is great. I don't want to hear about it any more, 24/7 on the news, and yet I'm afraid it will just go away as Columbine and Aurora and so many others did. As a nation we need to be having this conversation, but it's a hard one -- and a huge one since it touches on Constitutional rights and on mental illness, which no one wants to talk about, ever, it seems. I think the conversation will only get more difficult and more angry but I hope we don't stop having it just because it's hard.

Peace and blessing in this season!
