Earlier this year I was hoping to take a certain class, and in anticipation of it I bought everything on the supply list. I never did get to take the class, but I finally broke out some of the materials and played with them. I purchased 4 Caran d'Ache Neocolor II crayons...and oh my, I love them. I love them so much that I've got a bit set in my cart at Blick!
So this happened...got to spend some time in Peru with my awesome parents.
And this...lots of marching band performances with my two oldest fellas (Fella #1 plays the French Horn, Fella #2 plays the Euphonium).
Go, Deer Valley!
And this...a visit with two dear friends, Su and Ali (all the way from England!).
We shopped and ate and laughed and watched the Homecoming parade and the football game and went to Sedona...
...where we had our auras read and photographed...
and watched Fella #3 run in his cross country meet...
So, needless to say, I've had very little time for art making. But, I'm back in the saddle...headed to Baltimore, Los Angeles, and New Mexico (all before Thanksgiving!) to teach and spread the joy of mixed media art.
I've taught my Introduction to Art Journaling class many times, and I think every time I teach it, it gets better. When students take the 6-hour version, I push them hard...but they end up with six completed pages (that we bind into a little book), lots of techniques, instruction & inspiration on what to write, and even some class critique.
