I've taught my Introduction to Art Journaling class many times, and I think every time I teach it, it gets better. When students take the 6-hour version, I push them hard...but they end up with six completed pages (that we bind into a little book), lots of techniques, instruction & inspiration on what to write, and even some class critique.
Recently Penny took my classes...here's her blog post about them.
The pages below are samples that I created in class, illustrating the scraped & lifted paint technique.

love your layers!! and the colors are simply wonderful!! wish i were closer....i would love your class!

Such a FUN class and I learned so many cool things!! I wish I didn't live on the opposite end of the country from you so that I could take even more classes, but I love being inspired by your pages on your blog. Now I look at them and say - ooh, that's the magic pencil!, there's lifted stenciling!, what a cool color combo!, love the flow of that page! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and thanks for the link to my blog - very sweet of you :-)
