I'm in North Carolina at Donna Downey Studios. I've been teaching a weekend workshop and having a fabulous time! It's so fun to work around great fellow-artists, laughing, sharing, bonding. Donna and Bill have been fabulous hosts...I so appreciate them!I love being around people who "get it."
I finally have some JBS layouts this month! I know, it's about time. Jenni & Doris graciously allowed me to take some time off for my book. It was fun to create pages again, but I felt a bit rusty. Be sure to check the DT galleries for all the inspiration.
I'm teaching five classes at the awesome Whim-So-Doodle in St. Petersburg, FL....join me! We're doing the Dying for Dylusions book, Encasutic Tag book, Facing the Facts (drawing faces), Introduction to Art Journaling, and an awesome Maya Road mini album! The samples are in the store and they're taking sign-ups now.
I'm part of Debbie Hodge's wonderful and insightful Masterful Scrapbook Design this month! The theme is, "Art Journaling Looks for Scrapbook Pages." In fact, I'm doing a webinar in a few hours (9 am Pacific, 12 pm Eastern) ...join us!
Super excited about this....my book is up for pre-order on Amazon! Two things: it's not due to come out until next year, and Amazon spelled my name wrong in the description. [Full Disclaimer...the link below has my affiliate code in it.]
I had a wonderful teaching trip for the Yummy's event in Brazil...but I don't have a single picture! If you were there & have pictures, feel free to email them to me. I'd love to share them! The scrappers & artists in Brazil were truly wonderful. Warm, welcoming, enthusiastic. Special thanks to Fabiano, Lu, Larissa, and Renata (my favorite...hee hee). I'd love to go back (hint hint)! An extra-special shout out to Michael & Ruy who gave me a tour of Sao Paulo and treated me to a Brazilian lunch. Super fun, and I so appreciate their generosity and hospitality.
Then I met my family (Reed, the fellas, and my parents) in Peru, and we had the trip of a lifetime as we toured Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu, and The Sacred Valley. I have so many thoughts about it all, but writing about it will have to wait. I got home today, and my pile of work is overwhelming! So I need to buckle down and work like the wind.
