My Art Journaling 201: Masterful Art Journaling class starts on Tuesday!

This class is going to be different than other classes you've taken. We're going to take an artist and learn about his or her life...sort of a crash art history course. Then, we're going to take the artists' style and art and use it as a starting point for our own journals.
We're not going to be recreating the artists' work...I'll save that for 4th grade art class. No, we're going to draw snippets of inspiration that can fuel your own work for pages & pages.

I love this concept and would love to have a chance to learn from you through this class! I am very, very timid about beginning an art journal but truly want to for many reasons (i.e., having inky fingers all the time!). Even reading about this made me stop and think about why I adore Vermeer's work and to ask myself if I see his style at all reflected in my own work. I was surprised at the answers I uncovered! I am really excited about this class, on my if I could do life over again the formal study of Art-Artists and Art History is high on my list. This class may just be the start of a something I can do NOW.
