and what came out was an ultra-grungy, ultra-painty, ultra-messy sewn book...I think it was my subconscious way of getting out all the stress I had been feeling. I realize it looks like a paint store barfed on a page...but it is what it is.

There will be 4 challenges posted on Friday night, and lots more posted on Saturday. I did a little mini project (more like a technique, actually) that will be posted on Saturday afternoon...it has to do with spray inks (of course). :) Come & join us...it's free, and you'll get lots of scrapping done.
I got to play around with Danielle Thompson's wonderful Kitschy Digitals elements...and I had a blast! I'm not a digi scrapper at all (no skillz, people)...but I would open the files in Photoshop Elements, resize them if necessary, and print 'em out to use as paper elements. Easy, and so fun.
See Martha? Isn't she cute?Martha saved my hiney while we were teaching at Scrap-a-licious in Holland by hauling home tons of stuff I couldn't fit in my suitcase...plus she was my shopping buddy and all-around emotional support. When she mailed back my stuff, she included a handmade pirate monster for my collection...isn't he fantastic? I love his little tag that says, "Oh, grrr." Carter thinks the pirate is his, but alas, he is mine, all mine.
Long trip. Good trip. Met some wonderful, adventurous students who weren't afraid to try something new and get their hands dirty. Met some wonderful fellow teachers, kindred spirits, and friends who lifted me up. Lots of good food consumed. Lots of great art created. Lots of lessons learned. So happy to be home! I missed my fellas intensely.
I'll be editing pics for days...will share some soon. Here are a few pages I did on the trip...all started as demonstration pages for my classes (hence their similarity).
