People, you can email me and say, "Knock, knock, you forgot to draw the winner on Wednesday!" Sorry this is late...without further ado, the winner of the pass to Trish's Sweet Treats for Fall class is....
and that I am not a total idiot. Usually. I got a phone call this a.m. from the sub-coordinator for the district, and she said, "Why aren't you at your job today?" I said, "Huh? Wha??" She told me I had accepted a subbing job for today, and school had started and I wasn't there. Panic attack! Yesterday I logged into the sub system & saw a job, ran upstairs to get my planner, and when I came back the job was gone...I thought someone else had taken it. It turned out that my computer decided in my absence to accept the job for me...or the subbing pixies are conspiring against me...who knows. So I got ready in 5 minutes flat and high-tailed it over to the school...and spent my day subbing middle-school art. And I felt like a complete idiot for apparently not knowing how to use the sub system...oy!!!
I know I haven't been around. This last week hit me hard, and my back was out to boot. But I am not as gimpy now and so I hope to get back to posting and creating.
There's a cute "Sweet Treats" class over at Get it Scrapped, taught by the talented Trish. Look how adorable the projects are!
You'll get instructions for 15 projects! I have one free pass to this class...post a comment and I'll put your name in a drawing for it (note: the pass is not for my class, it's for the Sweet Treats class). I'll draw a winner on Wednesday.
A few of my Kenner Road pages...see 'em all & the other talented gals' work in the gallery on the site.
As I type this, there are only 11 minutes left until Kenner Road kits go up for sale! Wow!
I have to tell all of you that I thoroughly enjoyed reading all of your "road I grew up on" stories. I encourage you to take your stories one step further and create a scrapbook page about it...the stories were so touching and funny and wonderful!
I drew a winner for the Scenic Route paper pack....drum roll....the winner is Amber C!
Happy Friday! This is celebration weekend...we are celebrating the opening of kl's fab kit club, Kenner Road (kits go up for sale at 12:00 a.m. EST on Sept 15th). To kick off the kit club, the whole Creative Team is giving away some prizes! I am giving away a Scenic Route Paper Pack...their new Sonoma line!
For a chance to win, I want you to tell me a story. On your blog or on a message board somewhere, tell me about the street you grew up on (this ideas was inspired by Kenner Road, since that is the street that kl grew up on). Then leave me a comment w/ a link to your post. If you mention why are are telling your story (i.e. this contest), I'll put your name in the hat twice. On Sunday evening, I'll draw the winner! :)
And just for a little teaser, here's a peek of a project I did with Kenner Road's first add-on kit...
Be sure to check the blogs of the other K.R. Creative Team members this weekend for their prize giveaways!

Did this for the magazine last Jan but they didn't make it in...thought I'd share 'em! :) Both use lots & lots of spray ink. I often get questions about what spray ink I use. I primarily use the Tim Holtz Adirondack Color Wash inks..the colors are vivid and really rich. I also use Glimmer Mist when I want a more subdued color.
The class is Art Journaling 101...we will be exploring how you combine journaling with art to create a personal and expressive art journal. This is a beginning class in art journaling...we'll start with the blank page and then learn, line-upon-line, how to build a page. The class runs Oct 20th through Nov 17th, and it's $25.
